These Popular Tea Brands Possess Dangerously High Levels of Pesticides!

by January 6, 2017

Major food companies have grown to be very negligent of the public’s health. Avoid all of these major tea bag brands!

It seems like there are pesticides in everything these days. Just as expected, these major tea bag brands contain illegal amounts of pesticides! These pesticides can be extremely dangerous for your health. It is important to avoid these brands! Their tea contains toxic chemicals!

Brands like Lipton, Twinings, Celestial Seasonings, Trader Joe’s, and many more tea brands contain illegal amounts of pesticides in their products. Their products contain toxic amounts of fluoride in them also; and not just any kind of fluoride. These tea bags contains synthetic fluoride which is more toxic, more dangerous, and more deadly. The levels of this chemical in the tea bags are so high that it could be dangerous for your body.

Cheap non-organic tea is made with high levels of synthetic fluoride, has pesticides in it, and aren’t washed before being dried. This means that there are high amounts of pesticide residue on them. Buying these toxic brands of tea is not worth the dollar you save. These teas are extremely unsafe and should be banned from the public. The pesticides in these products are proved to be carcinogenic, meaning they cause cancer! The research showed that the cheaper tea brands contained amounts of fluoride that even the US government doesn’t approve of – that must be a lot.

Fluoride is a dangerous neurotoxin. The consumption of fluoride leads to lowered intelligence, an increased risk for cancer, disrupted thyroid function, and brain damages. Fluoride is purely toxic. I can not imagine that hidden reasoning of why so many products contain this chemical. According to a study by the Harvard School of Dental Health, fluoride in tap water increases the risk of bone cancer in boys, at levels currently present in fluoridated water supplies. “This is a very specific cancer in a defined population of children,” said Richard Wiles, co-founder of the Environmental Working Group (EWG), a research organization based in Washington, D.C., that made the research available. This is a serious issue and needs to be taken care of.

Tea grows in plantations.  As it grows, fluoride accumulates. The old tea leaves harbor most of the fluoride.  These old tea leaves are what are used to make cheaper teas. Cheap tea is sold in teabag form which may seem easy but because it is made with the low-quality leaves, it contains more synthetic fluoride. Avoid these 19 tea brands at all costs.

Scientists Say That Starting Work Before 10 A.M. Is Similar To Torture

by January 6, 2017

Are you one of the many Americans or citizens around the world that feels as if you never get enough rest? If you feel constantly tired, you’re not the only one. Studies have been done showing evidence as to why we are all so tired all the time!

A recent study has shown that working or going to school can be increasingly damaging to your body. If you’re constantly dreading getting out of bed, this will be good news to you. The study was done at Oxford University. The institution claims that forcing your work staff to start work before 10 AM is terrible for their bodies and mental state. Our bodies aren’t designed to be on the 9-5 schedule. It is simply overloading on ourselves. They study says that working before 10 AM is torturous, and is making people sick, stressed, and endlessly exhausted.

Before the age of 55, the body’s circadian rhythms aren’t synced to the typical 9-5 work hours. This can be a serious threat to our bodies, considering this is against our natural state.

Dr. Paul Kelley, of Oxford University, said there was a need for a huge societal change to move work and school starting times to fit with the natural body clock of humans. Experiments studying circadian rhythms have shown that the average 10-year-old will not start focusing properly for academic work before 8.30 a.m. Similarly, a 16-year-old should start at 10 am for best results and university students should start at 11 am. Dr. Kelley has said that he believes moving the start of school to a later time, could raise the grades by 10%. Dr. Kelley was formerly a teacher himself. He taught at Monkseaton Middle School, in north Tyneside. He changed the school start day from 8:30 to 10 AM, as he was a head teacher. He found that the number of top grades was raised by 19 percent.

Dr. Kelley says,”This is a huge society issue, staff should start at 10 am. You don’t get back to the 9 a.m. starting point until age 55. The staff is usually sleep deprived. We’ve got a sleep-deprived society.”

I, among many people, agree with him. Not to mention he literally has evidence of the productive outcome of the change. We need to stand up and make a change! Humans aren’t designed to run at this rate. It is possible that the change could increase lifespan too.

10 Reasons You Should Never Throw Away Those Silica Gel Packets

by January 5, 2017

Chances are, you probably have one of these laying in a drawer in your house somewhere; The little baggie that says’ “Do Not Eat”. Here are 10 ways you can reuse those same little baggies!

Every Time you get a package, you always have the same stuff to throw away. The box, tape, and the little baggy. I always remember playing with the little baggy out of the package as a child. My mom would always take it away from me, telling me it was bad. But, what if those little baggies aren’t so bad? It turns out you can use them in many different ways!

You can’t help but wonder what is inside of the baggy! Curiosity did kill the cat, but we can give in this time. The ingredients in this little baggy are called Silica Gel. It is in the form of beads. In this form, it is used as a desiccant to control local humidity to avoid spoilage or degradation of some goods. Because silica gel can have added chemical indicators (see below) and absorbs moisture very well, silica gel packets usually bear warnings for the user not to eat the contents. It turns out the label only demands you not to eat it because it isn’t food, and it is a choking hazard. Gel silica can be used in several different ways! Don’t throw them away, use them! Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle!

  • Drying out a wet cell phone – Remove the battery and any memory cards from the phone, then toss it in a bowl filled with silica gel packets (dry rice will work, too, in an emergency). Leave it there at least overnight before powering it on again.
  • Camera Condensation – If you’re taking your camera out into the cold, it can face serious condensation when you bring it back into a warm room. Remove the battery, memory card, and lens if applicable, and place the camera in a bowl of silica gel to suck up the moisture.
  • Makeup Travel bag – If you toss a few packets of silica gels into a Ziplock bag, it has enough water and moisture fighting ability to withstand any spills.
  • Protecting photos – Put silica gel packet in the boxes where you store your photos to keep them safe and dry.
  • Gardening – If you save your own seeds for planting next year, storing them so they don’t mold is important. Add a silica gel packet to your container, making sure it’s airtight. Store the different seeds in small envelopes and then put them all in an airtight container together with the silica gel packet. You only need one per shoe box-sized container.
  • Pills and Vitamins – You will often find Silica Gel packets enclosed with packets of dried foods, pills, and vitamins. This is because moisture can lead to mold, decomposition, and spoilage of these items. Storing these items with a packet of Silica Gel can help preserve their freshness. Vitamins and pills are often stored in bathrooms, a very humid environment. Moisture can get into the container each time it is opened, which can lead to any coatings being prematurely dissolved.
  • Flowers – These can be used in a cinch to help the process of drying out flowers go faster. Store in a paper bag with the couple packets.
  • Foggy Windshield – Stash some packets away in your car, especially on your dashboard. This will help maintain a clear windshield and leave it less foggy during times of high humidity.
  • Pumpkins – Protect your pumpkin from mold. Remove the top of the pumpkin. Take a silica bead and embed it into the interior of the pumpkin. Don’t stick the bead in so far that it changes the appearance of the pumpkin’s exterior. When applying the beads, use 3/4 grams of silica for every 100 cubic inches of pumpkin.
  • Protecting Documents – Protect personal papers and important documents by putting some gel in a baggie wherever these are stored.
