Say Goodbye to Facial Hair for Good With THESE Simple Homemade Recipes
For a woman it seems that money Is no object when it comes to beauty, but why spend a ton of money when you can get rid of problems at home naturally with little to no cost. If you have unwanted facial hair, it can be a constant battle to keep the fuzz away.
Shaving only seems to work for a few days, creams can be irritating and not to mention the chemicals! This natural old-time remedy known as sugaring works just as well as anything you will spend money on. The process uses melted sugar, honey and lemon juice to pull the hair out at the root. It is a much gentler process and less painful than waxing!
Start by washing your face with warm water and a gentle cleanser to remove any unwanted dirt and oil that can make the hair removal process more difficult.
Using a warm damp washcloth scrub your face in smooth, circular motions. Combine 4 tbsp baking soda and 1 tbsp of water. Ler the mixture sit for two minutes, then apply it to your skin with circular motions. Rinse the baking soda off with warm water after three minutes.
Now for the fun part, sugaring!
Ingredients:
- 1 cup sugar
- ¼ cup honey
- Half a lemon, juiced
Method:
Stir the ingredients until you are left with a thick paste. Heat the sugar mixture for one minute, then stir again. If the mixture is not warm yet, heat for another 30 seconds or so stirring constantly to prevent burning.
Spread a thin layer of the room temperature sugar wax over unwanted hair. Use a clean popsicle stick to do so, or a plastic spatula.
Press a clean dry cloth strip firmly down over the sugar wax. Hold your skin taut with one hand, use the other hand to quickly pull the cloth strip away in the direction opposite of hair growth.
Warnings:
Do not use this hair-removal method if your skin has open wounds or burns, including sunburns.
Do not wax if you take Accutane, Retin-A or any other topical or oral vitamin A products. These medications make skin thinner and increase the likelihood of skin removal.
Don’t exfoliate freshly waxed areas, and avoid exposing them to the sun for at least 24 hours.
Don’t shave between waxing sessions — doing so will make the next waxing session more painful.
If you burn your skin, immediately flush the area with cold water for 10 minutes. If the hot sugaring solution gets in your eyes, flush them with water for at least 20 minutes.
