10 Reasons Why You Should Be Sleeping Naked

by March 23, 2016

Studies show only 10% of people sleep in the nude, and this is surprising especially with all the wonderful benefits that come along with sleeping in the buff. If the thoughts of sleeping in the nude are not very appealing to you, here are seven reasons that will have you convinced!

https://youtu.be/BQuem7I5Sus

1. People who sleep naked tend to have better relationships. Skin to skin contact releases oxytocin, the bonding hormone. Those pesky pajamas can get in the way of skin to skin contact, and we need oxytocin it elevates happiness, lowers stress and reduces blood pressure.

2.Sleeping naked reduces your risk of yeast infections. It allows your vaginal area to have a chance to air out; yeast grows in warm and moist conditions. When it is cool and dry, the growth is prevented.

3. You will have a healthier body wearing clothes at night keeps your body warmer, which prevents the growth hormone from being released. The growth hormone repairs your body!

The Growth hormone:

  • Promotes bone density
  • repairs tissue
  • builds muscle
  • lowers your risk of diabetes
  • lowers your risk of heart disease
  • promotes healthy weight
  • stimulates the growth of internal organs
  • stimulates the immune system

4. You will have better sex, Just think about it, with all that oxytocin going around, and you’re both naked already!

5. Our bodies need to cool at night; this decreases our levels of cortisol. If we do not get enough restful sleep, we wake up with high levels of cortisol. High levels of cortisol trigger your appetite and our tendencies to overeat. High Cortisol levels can disrupt our sleep patterns, increase belly fat, and lower libido.

6. Sleeping naked keeps you young! Keeping the temperature around 68-70 degrees allows the anti-aging hormones, melatonin and growth hormone,to function properly. I know being comfortable and cozy at bedtime is important to a lot of people, but a warm sleep environment can prevent the natural cooling process to take place in your body while you sleep.

7. It will give you a self-confidence boost! When you sleep naked, you will learn to be more comfortable with your body. When you learn to be comfortable with yourself, you will be more happy. Not to mention, if you are spending all that time naked you will more than likely want to look your best!

8. It is easier! You will not have to worry about coming home and scrounging around for pajamas, just strip and get comfortable! You also will not have to buy pajamas, and you will have fewer clothes to wash! It really is a win-win situation.

9. Sleeping naked will make you feel happier and freer. Just imagine a world where you are lying in bed naked, you don’t have to worry about pants, underwear, or the dreaded bra! You you and your body sandwiched between two cool sheets!

10. It can help your skin! Your skin will finally get a breather! Your private parts, armpits, and feet are all day restricted and covered by many layers of clothing, even in hot weather. Give your body a chance to air out and breathe. This means a lowered risk for skin diseases like athlete’s foot, that result from wet, restricted skin!

These are the wonderful benefits of sleeping naked. So, ditch the Pajamas and enjoy this empowering nightly freedom. You will feel better, look better, and have a great relationship with your partner.

Harvard Scientist Urges People to Stop Drinking “Low-Fat” Milk Immediately

by March 23, 2016

Could vegans be right after all? Harvard research specialists have started to argue that while raw, organic milk offers numerous health benefits, conventional milk and dairy may be compromising all of our health’s due health compromising sweeteners.

Almost every single piece of dietary advice given or found recommends low-fat milk or non-fat dairy, but a vastly growing number of health experts argue that it is healthier to eat and drink dairy products with full fat left in. The fat that is found in dairy is roughly 50-60% saturated fat, and everyone recommends that we avoid saturated fats at all costs, but this may not be the best way!

“…There is no significant evidence for concluding that dietary saturated fat is associated with an increased risk of [coronary heart disease or cardiovascular disease].”

“If only half of dairy fat is the saturated kind, what kind is the rest? Dairy fat contains lots of oleic acid (the stuff that makes olive oil so healthy), along with a type of fat called conjugated linoleic acid (CLA) that may help with weight loss. Recent studies strongly suggest that something — possibly the CLA — in dairy fat does indeed help with weight management.”

One of the biggest misconceptions sabotaging the diets of many American’s is the idea that we should only eat low-fat or non-fat food. Did you know that those are the worst choices for you? When the fat is taken out of the product something is added in to replace the fat usually extra sugars or chemicals. When dairy is involved, if you must consume it the best way is raw, organic, unpasteurized food.

Full-fat dairy has been shown, in some studies, to reduce the risk of diabetes, cancer, weight, and heart disease.

In one recent study conducted by Swedish researchers in the Scandinavian Journal of Primary Health Care, middle-aged men who consumed high-fat milk, butter, and cream were significantly less likely to become obese over a period of 12 years compared to the men who never indulged in full fat dairy products.

When the USDA recommends that you consume reduced fat milk, they are also encouraging the consumption of added sugars. It should go without saying that you should not consume sugar and sweetened beverages. All research points to that!

“The worst possible situation is reduced-fat chocolate milk: you take out the fat, it’s less tasty. So to get kids to drink 3 cups a day, you get this sugar-sweetened beverage,” Ludwig says. ”…we can get plenty of calcium from a whole range of foods. On a gram for gram basis, cooked kale has more calcium than milk. Sardines, nuts seeds beans, green leafy vegetables are all sources of calcium.”

Did you know that just one cup of 2 percent milk contains 12.3 grams of sugar that is more than a Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup, and almost as much as a chocolate chip cookie! One serving would put a child over the recommended sugar limit; two cups would reach a woman’s limit of 5 teaspoons, and three cups would take a man straight over the top.

A glass of low-fat milk also provides 122 calories, which too many would not sound like a lot, but what about the time you had you recommended three servings? That would have you at 366 calories that could have been consumed elsewhere (like a glass of fresh fruit juice).

While evolving, we did so on a diet free from milk, and the consumption of milk is completely unnecessary, a healthy diet that is balanced and full should provide you with adequate amounts of calcium through beans, nuts, and leafy greens.

Do not misunderstand me, there are plenty of reasons to avoid certain fats like trans-fats and refined polyunsaturated fats in such things as vegetable oils like corn, soy, sunflower, and canola, but the evidence for moderate consumption of saturated fats like coconut oil and organic raw whole-fat milk, is coming to the surface of things.

“there is no significant evidence for concluding that dietary saturated fat is associated with an increased risk of [coronary heart disease or cardiovascular disease].”

And it is also important to note that before you consume your conventional dairy; you might want to educate yourself on the hormones, chemicals, and antibiotics being added to it. http://organichealth.co/how-would-you-feel-if-you-learned-pus-was-in-your-milk/

3 Things Your Blood Type Says About Your Health

by March 22, 2016

Did you know that your blood type not only distinguishes you from other human beings, but that your blood type can actual set health precedents for your body?

blood-type-chart-ABO (1)

There are 4 different basic blood types: O, A, B, and AB. Some scientist believe that the blood types developed as an evolutionary trait, and therefore have a much deeper impact on individual human health. Understanding your blood type is the first step in determining aspects of your health that you may need to pay attention to based solely on your unique blood type.

Your Blood Type and Stress
It’s been shown that blood types have different reactions to stress, and even stress hormones within the body. Cortisol, which is the hormone most commonly associated with stress ranges between blood types. For instance, people with type A blood tend to have higher levels of cortisol than people with type O blood. The difference is that people with type A blood are able to relieve cortisol levels easier than people with type O blood, even though the people with type O don’t build up the same levels. Even how you deal with stress differs from blood type to blood type.People with B type blood respond better to yoga and mediation than people with AB blood, who require a well-rounded work-out routine.

Your Blood Type and Gut Health
The human digestive system is intricate as it is, but studies have shown that people with different blood types have very different gastrointestinal situations as well. The digestive tract is full of good and bad living bacteria, and people with Type B blood have upwards of 50,000 times more beneficial bacterias than people with A or O type blood. People who are type O actually show more digestive vulnerabilities than any of the blood types.

Your Blood Types and Fertility
Different blood types also show different levels of natural fertility. A study conducted at the Yale University School of Medicine showed a link in lowered ovarian reserve, a condition pertaining to the number of total eggs versus the eggs healthy enough to produce pregnancy, to women with type O blood. Although a lowering of ovarian reserve is common in women as they age, it seems to happen faster in women with type O blood.

Your blood type makes you unique as a human, and also makes you body unique to health concerns to look out for.

Say Goodbye to Facial Hair for Good With THESE Simple Homemade Recipes

by March 21, 2016

For a woman it seems that money Is no object when it comes to beauty, but why spend a ton of money when you can get rid of problems at home naturally with little to no cost. If you have unwanted facial hair, it can be a constant battle to keep the fuzz away.

Shaving only seems to work for a few days, creams can be irritating and not to mention the chemicals! This natural old-time remedy known as sugaring works just as well as anything you will spend money on. The process uses melted sugar, honey and lemon juice to pull the hair out at the root. It is a much gentler process and less painful than waxing!

Start by washing your face with warm water and a gentle cleanser to remove any unwanted dirt and oil that can make the hair removal process more difficult.

Using a warm damp washcloth scrub your face in smooth, circular motions. Combine 4 tbsp baking soda and 1 tbsp of water. Ler the mixture sit for two minutes, then apply it to your skin with circular motions. Rinse the baking soda off with warm water after three minutes.

Now for the fun part, sugaring!

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup sugar
  • ¼ cup honey
  • Half a lemon, juiced

Method:

Stir the ingredients until you are left with a thick paste. Heat the sugar mixture for one minute, then stir again. If the mixture is not warm yet, heat for another 30 seconds or so stirring constantly to prevent burning.

Spread a thin layer of the room temperature sugar wax over unwanted hair. Use a clean popsicle stick to do so, or a plastic spatula.

Press a clean dry cloth strip firmly down over the sugar wax. Hold your skin taut with one hand, use the other hand to quickly pull the cloth strip away in the direction opposite of hair growth.

Warnings:

Do not use this hair-removal method if your skin has open wounds or burns, including sunburns.

Do not wax if you take Accutane, Retin-A or any other topical or oral vitamin A products. These medications make skin thinner and increase the likelihood of skin removal.

Don’t exfoliate freshly waxed areas, and avoid exposing them to the sun for at least 24 hours.

Don’t shave between waxing sessions — doing so will make the next waxing session more painful.

If you burn your skin, immediately flush the area with cold water for 10 minutes. If the hot sugaring solution gets in your eyes, flush them with water for at least 20 minutes.

In treatment, physical pressure is applied to acupuncture points with the aim of clearing blockages in these meridians. Many medical studies have come out proving that acupressure could be effective at helping manage nausea and vomiting, for helping lower back pain, tension headaches, stomach aches; not to mention countless others.

It is so easy to relieve pain without stuffing yourself with chemical-loaded drugs! Follow the steps and improve your condition:
