Wrap Your Leg With Cabbage For 1 Hour and This Will Happen to Your Joint Pain

by January 7, 2017

Cabbage is a great low-calorie vegetable full of nutritional value. Did you know you could use cabbage topically along with consuming it?

It has been used for several centuries as a traditional treatment for swollen or bruised skin. Cabbage is rich in things like glutamine and phytonutrients that provide anti-inflammatory properties. This makes it extremely beneficial when it comes to preventing cancer and joint pain. How can cabbage be used to treat arthritic pain? Well, it’s actually pretty simple. You can use it as a compress. Here’s how:

Cabbage Compress

Ingredients:

  • Organic cabbage (red is preferred)
  • Rolling Pin (or meat hammer)
  • Aluminum foil
  • Bandage, gauze, or saran wrap (whichever you have)
  •  Oven

Directions:

  • Peel an outer leaf off of the cabbage and wash it.
  • Dry it and cut out the stem then place it on the counter.
  • Using your rolling pin bruise the leaf, this releases its juices.
  • Wrap the cabbage in foil and place it in the oven for a few minutes to warm it. (You do not have to heat them however it increases the effects.)
  • Now place the cabbage on the area in which you have been having trouble with.
  • Cover the cabbage with the gauze, bandage, or saran wrap and then elevate the area.

Now, while cabbage allergies are rare they do happen sometimes and can cause swelling or itching in some cases. If you experience anything along those lines please do not hesitate to remove the compress and visit a doctor depending on the severity of your irritation.

Cabbage wraps can work wonders on your aching joints if done properly. Your skin will absorb the things it needs from the cabbage once it has been bruised and heated properly. This is a great low-risk cost effective way to help with a minor twisted ankle as well. Now the red cabbage may stain but the benefits you will receive will outweigh the stain on your skin. Enjoy! The Oxygen Bomb: When You Insert This Plant, You Take Out All The Toxins From Your Home!

by January 7, 2017

According to NASA, every single home should have anywhere from 15-18 of these plants on an area of 500 square meters. Here’s why you should keep at least one of these in your bedroom.

Increasing the levels of oxygen in your home is important. You can do this by keeping aloe vera plants. They are very potent oxygen bombs, to say the least. One of these plants is the equivalent of nine biological air purifiers. This plant releases oxygen while it absorbs carbon dioxide, monoxide, and formaldehyde.

On top of all of this aloe vera is one of the most beneficial plants on the planet. Having one in your home is beneficial in a large number of ways. You can use aloe vera to treat burns (sunburn especially) and it is a natural remedy for colic. You can use aloe vera for treating things like:

  • Stomach ulcers
  • Soothing side effects of radiation treatment
  • Asthma
  • Depression
  • Diabetes
  • Constipation

Along with a few hundred other things. It really is one amazing plant. For more information on aloe vera and the benefits of having it in your home please watch the video below.

If for some reason you do not want to go with aloe vera when it comes to increasing the oxygen in your home or purifying the air there are other alternative plants you can use like lilies. They have the ability to get rid of chemical toxins in the air in a similar way. They are effective in removing formaldehyde and trichloroethylene. 10 Things You Need to do to Never See Another spider in Your Kitchen, Bathroom or Bedroom Again

by January 6, 2017

While some of us may tolerate spiders more than others none of us want them crawling around in our houses, right? The best thing to do is repel them in a naturally way.

Now, you may be thinking that there is no possible way to get rid of them and keep them away without harming them. However, that is not true. You can repel these creatures naturally. Here are ten natural ways to keep spiders out of your home.

Citrus

Spiders do not like anything citrus. Rubbing citrus peel (orange or lemon whatever you prefer) on the areas in which you see spiders the most will cause them to look elsewhere for shelter. Try implementing some sort of lemon scented furniture polish if you feel your spider issue is severe.

Cedar

Using cedar mulch outside your home can work towards preventing them from entering. This is not because of the spiders not liking cedar as it does not affect them. Insects do not like cedar which means using it can prevent insect infestations this cuts back on the amount of food in and around your home for the spiders to consume. Limiting their food source will force them to move further away. Using cedar blocks inside closets and drawers while it might sound strange is quite effective.

Chestnuts

Chestnuts have been used for driving spiders away for quite some time now. You can keep these in your house for a long time before they go bad which makes them even better. Sit a few in your windowsills and see how things go.

Avoid Letting Them In

Making sure the exterior of your home is up to par will prevent intruders from the begin with. Keep your yard free of grass clippings, leaves, and anything that would look like a spider hangout. Check all doors and windows to make sure there are no openings.

Get A Cat

Spiders do not like cats for the same reason that rats and mice do not like them. Cats can be fantastic hunters and will not allow a spider to crawl across your floor without taking care of it. While the cat can harm some spiders it will also prevent future spiders in some cases.

Tobacco

Spiders do not like tobacco. Sprinkle small bits of this where you know spiders spend their time. You can also soak tobacco in water and spray the mixture throughout your home.

Vinegar

Spiders are also not fans of white vinegar. Spraying vinegar around your home will repel them quite efficiently.  The smell of vinegar is not so bad when weighed against not seeing any more spiders. Be sure to spray it in all the cracks you find.

Keep A Clean Home

This is probably the cheapest way to reduce the number of spiders you see in your home. Be sure to keep your home dust free, and cobweb free. Vacuum regularly and stay clutter free, this will prevent your home from becoming a spider motel. This will also rid them of their food source forcing them to move on out.

Peppermint Oil

Most people are not aware that spiders hate peppermint with a passion. Mix peppermint essential oil with water in a spray bottle and go to town spraying each and every area of your home. It will leave your house smelling fantastic and keep the spiders at bay.

Natural Spider Repellent

Using this combination will work wonders. This is probably my favorite out of all the things on this list. Enjoy!

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup of white vinegar
  • 2 cups water
  • 40 drops of peppermint oil
  • spray bottle

Directions:

  • Mix all of these things together in the spray bottle.
  • Spray on windowsills as well as doors and crevices.

While many of these might sound outrageous they really do work. It appears spiders are quite sensitive to strong scents. While we love the smell of peppermint and some of the other things mentioned above they absolutely cannot stand them. Who knew! Try implementing at least five of these in your home to rid yourself of spiders with little effort.

Early Signs and Symptoms of Lung Cancer You Shouldn’t Ignore

by January 6, 2017

Lung Cancer is a horrific disease, and can arise out of nowhere! Anyone could become acquainted with this disease, so here are some early warning signs and symptoms of lung cancer.

Each year more people die from lung cancer than from colon, breast, and prostate cancers combined. Lung cancer is extremely fatal. Sometimes surviving the disease completely depends on the progression of it. If you catch it just in time, you may be lucky.

In 2016, The American Cancer Society estimates lung cancer cases were up to 224,390! Each one a different person plagued by this disease. They also estimate about 158,080 cases of lung cancer resulted in death. It is the leading cause of cancer deaths among both men and women. The cancer is most commonly diagnosed in older people. About 2 out of every 3 people diagnosed with cancer will be above the age of 65. Less than 2% of those diagnosed are younger than 45. The average age of diagnosis is 70. Lung cancer is a serious disease and it is important to take precautions of it.

Lung cancer is most commonly thought to be the result of smoking. However this is true, it is not always the case. Given, smoking is the cause of 80% of diagnoses. Lung cancer in nonsmokers can be caused by exposure to radon, secondhand smoke, air pollution, or other factors. Workplace exposures to asbestos, diesel exhaust, or certain other chemicals can also cause lung cancers in some people who don’t smoke. The time of diagnosis of this disease is very important. If the progression of the disease has not progressed, there are better chances of survival. Here are some warning signs, precautions, and symptoms of this horrific cancer.

  • A constant cough – If you suffer from a cough that just simply won’t stop, you might need to check in with a doctor. A cough that lingers is often an early warning sign of lung cancer. If you have a cough like this it is urgent that you see a healthcare physician, Especially if you are a smoker.
  • Changes in Cough – Another sign of lung cancer is a change in your cough. If you are coughing more often, your cough is deeper or has hoarse sound, or you are coughing up blood or more mucus than usual, it’s time to make a doctor’s appointment.
  • Breathing Changes – Do you often experience shortness of breath? This can also be a sign. Changes in breathing can occur if lung cancer blocks or narrows an airway, or if fluid from a lung tumor builds up in the chest.
  • Wheezing – Sometimes the chest airways to become clogged or constricted. This will result in your wheezing sound. However, wheezing can also be a sign of lung cancer. Don’t assume that wheezing is caused by asthma or allergies. Have your doctor confirm the cause.
  • Hoarse Voice – A change in your tone of voice might be an indicator of this disease. If you experience the feeling of hoarseness in your voice, consult with your doctor. It’s always better safe than sorry.
  • Weight Loss – Suddenly losing a large amount of weight, without any physical exercise or diet change, may be an indicator of lung cancer. When cancer is present, this drop in weight may result from cancer cells using energy. It could also result from shifts in the way the body uses energy from food.
  • Chest Pain – Experiencing pain in the chest, neck, or shoulders is never a good sign. It could be a symptom of many different diseases, but it is one of Lung cancer. When lung cancer causes chest pain, the discomfort may result from enlarged lymph nodes or metastasis to the chest wall, the lining around the lungs called pleura or the ribs.
  • Aches and Pains – Aches and pains are a normal thing to experience, however, constant aches and pains are not. If you are constantly aching you should see a doctor. This pain may worsen at night while resting on the back. It may be difficult to differentiate between bone and muscle pain. Bone pain is often worse at night and increases with movement.
