The scientists concluded that coconut oil does not cause high cholesterol and triglycerides. This study demonstrated that the women taking coconut oil had a reduction in abdominal obesity while taking coconut oil. Another study performed in 2003, showed that a diet containing medium and long chain triglycerides (MLCT) like those found in coconut oil could decrease the accumulation of body fat in a group of healthy people!

  3. Mint- Start the growing with seeds, not cuttings. Place them in a small pot full of potting soil. Make sure it is in a spot where it gets a little bit of light per day.
  4. Parsley – This one does not require light or maintenance. Start by placing seeds in an inch of moist soil.
  5. Oregano – Although the easiest to grow, it requires 6-8 hours of sunlight per day.
  6. Basil – This herb is one of the most difficult to grow. The best breeds to grow inside are the Spicy Globe or African Blue.
  7. Thyme – It also requires 6-8 hours of sunlight, but requires little maintenance.
  8. Vietnamese Coriander – This is the seed of the cilantro herb. It is easier to grow and is very reliable.
  9. Chives – This one requires little light and they are very bountiful. Pull some roots and plant them in a small pot that is halfway full of soil.
  10. Tarragon – Place herb under a warm and bright light. This herb can be used for several different cooking methods.

  • Clip off any flowers or dead shoots. Pruning regulaily will keep your plant strong and healthy.
