Recommended Foods That Balance Your Chakras

by May 31, 2017

Our Chakras are very important as they are thought to vitalize our physical bodies. If you are familiar with the Chakras then you know that sometimes they can become imbalanced.

When this happens there are a number of ways to balance them. I for one have found that the things we eat have a direct influence on our Chakras. If you are not balanced in your chakras the following foods may help you big time.

Root Chakra

If this Chakra is being over stimulated then you may need to avoid these foods for awhile. This is the Chakra located at the base of your pelvic bone and provides you with security as it is your base.

Sacral Chakra

This Chakra when overworked will shut down and leave you feeling nothing. You will then need to cut back on these foods. It is the Chakra that helps us with our creativity and emotions so it is very important. It is located in the lower abdomen/groin area.

Solar Plexus

These foods will activate your third Chakra. If you notice yourself becoming overly egocentric then you need to shy away from them as your Chakra is doing too much. This Chakra is located in the stomach and covers things like our personal power and mental energy.

Heart Chakra

  • Whole brown rice
  • Cherries
  • Strawberries

These foods are go-to foods when your heart is closed. You can never really ever eat too much of these foods as there is never enough love in this world. This Chakra is located in the heart as I guess you assumed and brings us love and healing.

Throat Chakra

  • Wheatgrass
  • Barley
  • Bananas

If you are having trouble speaking the truth you need to eat these foods more often. This Chakra is located in the throat and helps us to communicate better.

Third Eye

  • Vitamin E
  • Chamomile
  • Wheat germ

This Chakra is right between your eyebrows and brings us our intuition.

Crown Chakra

There is no real special food for this Chakra, but meditation clears it up well. It is located on the top of your head and is our connection to the Universal Life Energy.

While our Chakras are always open they are not always in the best shape. When it comes to balancing our Chakras there are many different ways this can be done. If you combine meditation with the foods mentioned above things will improve in a wonderful way. Check out the video below for information on meditation.

Olive Oil Remedy to Grow Hair and Increase Hair Volume

by May 31, 2017

Hair is something we all feel like we need, at least when it is on our heads. If your hair is a bit shorter than you’d like for it to this remedy could be what you need!

Personally, I always tend to get tired of my long hair only to want it back the moment I get it cut. When that happens this natural remedy is my go to for getting my hair to grow back quickly. Sure, you could buy a hair growth product from the store but will it work? I have had more results with this remedy than I have any store bought hair growth serum.

Hair Growth Remedy

Ingredients:

Directions:

  • Using the funnel put half of cup of olive oil into the bottle.
  • Now do the same thing with half of a cup of the mustard oil.
  • Put in one teaspoon of the fenugreek seeds and one teaspoon of the methi leaves.
  • Mix well and add one citrus leave into this.
  • You can put the lid on and shake well to ensure it is all mixed well.
  • Put this in indirect sun for 24 hours and then 5 hours of sunlight before using.

As far as use goes you can do this any way you see fit. I personally like to put it in my hair when I get home each day. Then I wash it out hours later when I shower. Some days I swap up and do three raw eggs instead, it is important to give back to your hair when you are trying to make it grow. This remedy will be more than enough to do the trick. Enjoy!

3 Organic Pain Killers As Powerful As Drugs, Without The Side Effects

by May 31, 2017

We all experience pain from time to time. Whether it is achy legs or sciatica pain, aches and pains are no fun at all – and neither are pain medications.

Aches and pains are common, of course. However, we shouldn’t be treating them the way we do. Aches and pains can be caused by thousands of different reasons. Sometimes we have aches and pains for no reason – it’s just the human body. In the modern day, world businessmen and CEO’s have figured out how to benefit from our health ailments. We go to them for treatment, help, and a cure, but all they do is pump us full of drugs that make everything worse. It’s quite ridiculous because there are so many natural ingredients that relieve pain as a whole!

Prescription drugs are thought of to be the answer to all of our health issues, but they’re the opposite. Prescription pain relievers are extremely addictive, dangerous, and easy to overdose on. They are also super expensive and without a good insurance plan, you can expect to do without these medicines. However, you have no reason to fear. These medications are no good anyways, and the only way you’re going to effectively relieve yourself of pain is by doing it naturally.

3 Natural Pain Killers

Boswellia

Boswellia is an amazing natural remedy for pain. It works even better than NSAIDS or Ibuprofen. One of the best-studied areas of Boswellia is with osteoarthritis. In one double-blind, placebo-controlled, randomized study (i.e. gold standard),2 Indian researchers divided 60 participants with osteoarthritis in the knees into two groups. The first group received 100 mg of Aflapin®, a Boswellia serrata extract. The second group received a placebo. After 30 days, researchers found that those taking the Aflapin® had both clinically and statistically significant improvements in pain and physical function. Best of all, it worked within five days!

Turmeric

Turmeric is a natural ingredient that works for basically any health issue. It has been proclaimed for its medicinal benefits for thousands of years, and no wonder why. Several recent studies show that turmeric/curcumin has anti-inflammatory properties and modifies immune system responses. A 2006 study showed turmeric was more effective at preventing joint inflammation than reducing joint inflammation. To relieve pain by using turmeric, take a 400mg – 600mg capsule of turmeric three times a day! Your pain will slowly vanish!

Astaxanthin

This natural ingredient has been overlooked for years, but it has some of the most potent medicinal abilities. It has to ability to make you an athletic extraordinaire by reducing the amount of stress on your joints during sports, reducing inflammation, and increasing natural energy. After receiving astaxanthin for only eight weeks, RA sufferers showed a 35 percent improvement in pain levels, as well as a 40 percent improvement in their ability to perform daily activities, according to the Journal of American College of Nutrition.

The Brain Starts Eating Itself When You Don’t Get Enough Sleep

by May 31, 2017

A new study published in the Journal of Neuroscience suggests that staying awake too long destroys brain cells in mice, and may also have the same effect on humans! While you sleep, your body is able to clear away neurological ‘wear and tear’ from the day, however when you do not get the sleep necessary for this to occur, the damage may be irreversible.

Researchers from the Center for Sleep and Circadian Neurobiology at the University of Pennsylvania found that when we stay awake for too long, it is damaging to a particular type of brain cell called locus ceruleus neurons. These cells play an important role in keeping us alert and awake.

We now have evidence that sleep loss can lead to irreversible injury. This might be in a simple animal but this suggest to us that we are going to have to look very carefully in humans.” explained lead author Sigrid Veasey, MD, associate professor of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania’s Perelman School of Medicine.

During the study the researchers limited the mice to 4 – 5 hours of sleep each over a 24-hour time period. Just three days into this new sleep schedule the sleep deprived mice experienced at 25% loss of locus ceruleus neurons in a specific section of the brain stem. Further research will be required to see if this same result would occur in human test subjects. Researchers stated that their next steps will be to conduct autopsies to examine the brain cells of shift workers, to see if the results extend to the human population.

Another ground breaking study conducted by a team of neuroscientists from Marche Polytechnic University focused on the glial cells, known as the glue of the nervous system. These cells work to refresh the neurons in the brain while people sleep. The study shows that when someone does not get enough sleep, this action goes into overdrive, moving into a state of self-harm.

The researchers compared the activity in 4 groups of mice. It was found that this ‘cleaning’ had occurred at a level of 5.7% in the mice that were well rested, 7.3% in those that had been kept awake for 8 hours, and 13.5% in those who were chronically sleep deprived. At this stage, it showed the body was essentially ‘eating’ parts of the brain like the microglial cells would eat waste, creating damage to the brain.

Despite this information now being available, the American population is not listening! The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) recently announced that insufficient sleep is an epidemic in America! Their most recent survey found that out of nearly 75,000 adults, more than a third reported getting less than 7 hours of sleep each night, and 38% of those surveyed admitted to unintentionally falling asleep during the day due to being overtired.

The moral of the story? Sleep is not just a luxury to enjoy when we are able to find time. In order to ensure that your brain is healthy and functioning at its highest capacity, make sleep a priority!

Kill Cancer with this Two-Ingredient Recipe!

by May 31, 2017

Taking the Internet by storm, the Budwig Protocol (otherwise known as the Budwig Diet) has been connected with many alternative treatments including, but not limited to, heart disease, type 2 diabetes, autoimmune disease and, you guessed it, CANCER!

What is the Budwig Protocol?

Created by Dr. Johanna Budwig, a German biochemist, the Budgwig Protocol is a 2-ingredient recipe designed to energize the body’s cells by restoring their natural electrical balance. When cells lose their normal electrical balance, often due to a lower ATP energy within the cell’s mitochondria, they are referred to as ‘sick cells.’ These cells have been found to be the underlying cause for a number of human diseases.

Dr. Dan Roehm, M.D., a traditionally trained oncologist, explains, “The diet (Budwig Protocol) is far and away the most successful anti-cancer diet in the world. What she (Dr. Johanna Budwig) has demonstrated to my initial disbelief but lately, to my complete satisfaction in my practice is: CANCER IS EASILY CURABLE. The treatment is dietary/lifestyle, the response is immediate; the cancer cell is weak and vulnerable; the precise biochemical breakdowns point was identified by her in 1951 and is specifically correctable in vitro (test tube) as well as in vivo (real). I only wish that all my patients had a PhD in Biochemistry and Quantum Physics to enable them to see how with such consummate skill this diet was put together. It is a wonder.”

Budwig’s protocol was developed after a life dedicated to research on fatty acids, during which she discovered that hydrogenated oils and processed fats have the ability to destroy the cell membranes within the body, which then lead to inflammation, disease, and, ultimately, cancers.

The first step of the Budwig Protocol is to eliminate the unhealthy fats from our diets.

The Protocol then works to replace the fat that you have eliminated with healthy fatty acids, essential polyunsaturated fatty acids such as Linoleic Acid and Linolenic Acid, which have been shown to repair broken cells, as described in The Truth About Cancer.

While the following recipe plays an important role, the Budwig Protocol also includes the following dietary guidelines:

  • Eliminate all processed foods, sugar, and meats
  • Eat all food freshly prepared, do not leave leftovers as the nutritional content decreases, especially when it comes to juicing
  • Drink plenty of purified water
  • Receive natural sunshine
  • Eat plenty of organic fruits and vegetables
  • Use frankincense essential oil

The 2-Ingredient Recipe

The recipe requires just 2 ingredients, cottage cheese and flaxseed oil, however, the important consideration is to ensure that you choose higher quality ingredients.

To choose the correct cottage cheese you must first understand the products that are generally available in your local grocery store. Many of today’s cottage cheeses, like many other milk products, come from non-organic farms. These farms use antibiotics, hormones, painkillers and other drugs on the cattle. The milk from these products often comes from A1 cattle, which is a genetic mutation that causes the cows to produce A1 Casein protein. This protein is responsible for allergic reactions and allergic reactions, like gluten.

When you are selecting your cottage cheese products, be sure to choose organic options which come from grass-fed A2 cattle. Both yogurt made from goat or sheep’s milk and kefir can be used as an alternative.

The flaxseed oil should be cold-pressed organic oil.

To increase absorption and increase the inflammation fighting ability, add 1 teaspoon of turmeric powder and ¼ teaspoon of black pepper.

While the recipe has been proven to be effective by many, reviews often refer to the less than appetizing taste. Here are some modified recipes:

Cortney’s Story

Cortney Campbell was 26 years old, newly married, and looking forward to starting a family with her new husband when she received her diagnosis of Stage II Hodgkin’s Lymphoma in October 2008. After researching the potential treatments, she learned that among the listed side effects associated with chemotherapy is infertility. This led her to research natural treatment options.

On her blog Cortney wrote, “First thing I would have wanted to know is that there are people that choose holistic cancer treatment and it works! That’s me. I’m still here. And there are hundreds more of us and growing.”

Cortney’s daily routine included a raw organic vegan diet (with the exception of Ezekiel Bread); drinking Japanese Matcha green tea, Essiac tea and green smoothies; taking a series of strong vitamins and immune-boosting supplements and the inclusion of the Budwig Protocol. By May 2009 she was in clinical remission.

In an interview with Chris Beat Cancer, she stated, “The thing I consider the most important thing that I did on a daily basis was The Johanna Budwig Protocol.”

What You Should Know Before Giving Your Child ADHD Medication

by May 31, 2017

Drug abuse and addiction expert Carl Hart of Columbia University, in a recent interview on MSNBC, stated, “There isn’t much difference between the demonized street drug methamphetamine (also known as meth or crystal meth) and the prescription drug Adderall.

adhd, adhd mediation, dangers of adhd medication, adhd medication and children

Controversies surrounding ADHD and the use of stimulant medications began as early as 1970, especially in regards to the treatment of children. The American Journal of Psychiatry states that there are concerns regarding an increased severity of bipolar disorder and schizophrenia in individuals with a history of stimulant use for ADHD in childhood. In order for a diagnosis of ADHD to be made, the symptoms must begin between the ages of 6 and 12, and continue for more than 6 months.

On February 9th, 2006, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration recommend that these drugs contain a warning label advising of the cardiovascular risks of using a stimulant drug in the treatment of ADHD. Common stimulants prescribed for treatment of ADHD include Ritalin (methylphenidate) and Adderall (a mixture of dextroamphetamine and amphetamine) among others.

Side Effects of Ritalin Include: Emotional and behavioural side effects, nervousness, excitability, insomnia, dizziness, emotional ups and downs, headaches, irritability, emotional sensitivity, crying, crankiness, muscle tics or twitches, nervous habits, abdominal upset, stomach pain, weight loss, nausea, vomiting and loss of appetite.

Per the National Institute of Mental Health and the FDA, Ritalin increases the risk of sudden death among children and teens by 500%. It is important to note that Ritalin can be addictive for some patients. Withdrawal can cause fatigue, disturbed sleep patterns, malnutrition, depression and cardiovascular complications. These complications may lead to stroke, or even death.

Adderall use in the United States has increased dramatically from 1.3 million users in 1996 to nearly 6 million users in 1999. A combination of amphetamine and dextroamphetamine, Adderall is often found to be habit-forming.

Side Effects of Adderall Include: Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation, loss of appetite, weight loss, headache, uncontrollable shaking of a part of the body, changes in sex drive or ability, difficulty falling asleep or staying asleep, restlessness, nervousness and dry mouth.

When should I be concerned?

The National Institute of Mental Health suggests that you call your doctor immediately in the event that you experience any of these symptoms:

  • Fast or pounding heartbeat
  • Shortness of breath
  • Chest pain
  • Excessive tiredness
  • Slow or difficult speech
  • Dizziness or faintness
  • Weakness or numbness of an arm or leg
  • Seizures
  • Motor tics or verbal tics
  • Feeling unusually suspicious of others
  • Hallucinating (seeing things or hearing voices that do not exist)
  • Mania (frenzied or abnormally excited mood)
  • Aggressive or hostile behavior
  • Changes in vision or blurred vision
  • Fever
  • Blistering or peeling skin
  • Rash
  • Hives
  • Itching
