Master List Of Food Producers Who Refuse to Use GMOs In Their Products

Giant agricultural companies that are producing GMOs and using millions of tons of chemicals continue to do so with the help of a large amount of monetary support. The longer we continue to purchase their products, the longer they can continue to operate in this way, poisoning our bodies and polluting our environment.

GMOs, Non GMO productsIt is time that we band together, and put an end to the power held by these large companies. The best way to make a difference is to either buy from a local organic farmer, or grow your own, however this is not always an option.

When purchasing foods either look for any of these three labels: certified organic/USDA Organic products (which cannot intentionally contain any GMO ingredients), products bearing the “Non-GMO Project” verified seal (which indicate that they went through a separate certification process) or those products that carry the GMO Guard seal from Natural Food Certifiers.

Why Most People Are Deficient In Magnesium: The Signs and What You Can Do

Researchers have found that low magnesium levels have been associated with osteoporosis, asthma, colon cancer, type 2 diabetes, migraine headaches, metabolic syndrome, atherosclerotic vascular disease, elevated C-reactive protein, hypertension and sudden cardiac death. With some estimates suggesting that the rate of magnesium deficiency in the United States could be as high as 90% of Americans, it is important that we educate ourselves!

Magnesium plays a very important role in our lives, responsible for over 300 biochemical reactions in the body.  Some of these reactions include: detoxification in the liver, formation of bones and teeth and temperature regulation. It impacts your metabolism, blood pressure and immune function among other aspects of our health.

The Weston A. 5 Simple Exercises That Will Transform Your Body In Just Four Weeks

These 5 exercises require no equipment, however if they are performed daily you will see improvements in your waistline and overall body in less than one month! The Exercises

  1. Push-ups

A well recognized workout, push-ups will target all body muscles, working to strengthen the entire body. Begin on the ground, lying on your stomach with your feet straight behind you and your hands beneath your shoulders, elbows bent, ready to support your body weight.  Remember to keep your back, legs and buttock in a straight line. Push your body up, straightening the arms and supporting your body weight. Slowly lower your body back down until you are an inch off the ground, and then repeat.

Your Body’s Acidic pH is Allowing Cancer to Multiply. This is How to Restore it Fast

Are you aware of the importance of your body’s pH balance? Do you remember high school chemistry class, learning about the differences between an acid versus a base? Understanding this concept will allow you to ensure that your body is healthier than ever!

The pH scale runs from 0 to 14, with a lower number indicating a higher level of acidity, and a higher number indicating a higher level of alkalinity. When a solution maintains a pH of 7 it is considered neutral, neither an acid not alkaline.

When your body is too acidic it creates an unhealthy environment, one which promotes illness, bacteria and yeast. It also requires the body to take minerals from your bones and vital organs in order to neutralize the acid, causing a depletion of the body’s reserves of calcium, magnesium, potassium and sodium.  These deficiencies can remain undetected for months, or even years, causing damage and a condition called acidosis.

Additional problems that may arise from an overly acidic system include:

  • Weakened immune system

  • Respiratory problems, shortness of breath, coughing

How Can I Check for a PH Imbalance?

There is a way to test your bodily fluids, specifically saliva or urine, using litmus paper strips. These strips can be purchased from your local health food store, or online. You will need to do the test either first thing in the morning, one hour before a meal or two hours after eating. Testing too close to meal time will cause you to receive inaccurate results based on the pH levels of the food or drink you have consumed.

Saliva: Before you brush your teeth, fill your mouth with saliva, swallow and repeat. After you have done so, spit directly onto one of the pH test strips. Following these steps will ensure that you are testing a clean saliva sample. Complete the process again later in the day, at least two hours after eating, to test for consistencies. This will allow you to catch if there is a potentially ‘contaminated’ sample, as you will need to repeat the process again if you find the tests are vastly different.

Urine: With a clean, glass container, collect a small sample of your first morning urine. Dip the pH strip into the sample.

Using the instructions on the packaging of your test strips, match the color of your strip to decode your body’s pH level. You would ideally like to see your pH level matching with 7.2 to 7.4 on the package (depending on the brand of pH strips you purchases, this is usually dark green or bluish).

What Can I Do to Fix It?

Generally speaking, if you eat more animal products and processed foods than fresh foods you will find that your pH levels tend to be more on the acidic side of the scale. Your pH balance is also heavily impacted by lack of sleep, anxiety and stress. Even if you are eating a healthy diet, living an overly stressful life can result in an acidic body. Planning a balanced diet, getting plenty of sleep and making an effort to reduce the stress in your life will help you to maintain a more balanced pH level.

When selecting your foods, use these lists as a guideline:

  • Acid Promoting Foods: Grains, cooked foods, sugars, alcohol, saturated fats, refined flour products (such as bread and pasta)
  • Alkaline-Forming Foods: Fruits, vegetables, beans, seeds, legumes and nuts.
  • Alkaline “Super Foods”: Raspberries, sweet potatoes, dark green vegetables, limes, lentils, garlic and apple cider vinegar

Plant Compound Found to Reverse Lung Damage Associated With COPD

COPD covers a wide range of diseases and is a huge issue. It is far more of a problem than most realize.

For those who do not know COPD is Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease, it is something we refer to as an umbrella term and includes things like emphysema, bronchiectasis, asthma, and chronic bronchitis. It is a progressively worsening lung disease that causes adverse effects to one’s breathing. It is the third leading cause of death here in the US.

About 3 million people are diagnosed with emphysema just in America. According to the NHLBI, about 12 million additional people have COPD but are not diagnosed with it. The mainstream believes the cause of COPD to be smoking, genetic factors, and long-term environmental exposure to toxic chemicals in the workplace. That being said lots of people I have come across are exceptions to all three of these things.

COPD is considered to be incurable when it comes to conventional medicine and there are not really any set ways to treat it. Big Pharma pushes things like toxic chemical inhalers, steroids, and mucous thinning drugs as a means of managing the issue but those don’t do much for the issue and add to the problem. While most allopathic doctors do not believe lung tissue can be regenerated recent studies seem to show that it can.

Research carried out by Dr. Gloria De Carlo Massaro and Dr. Donald Massaro at Georgetown University School of Medicine have actually been able to reverse emphysema in rats successfully. In this the used a derivative of vitamin A (All-trans-retinoic acid.) They injected this into the rats daily for 12 days and the rats were able to grow new healthy alveoli.

Dr. Donald Massaro told NYTimes:

“It appeared that the treatment regenerated the adult rat’s ability to produce alveoli, the small air sacs where oxygen and carbon dioxide move between the lungs and the bloodstream. The production of alveoli normally ends in childhood.”

This is interesting because back in 2003 a study was published in the Journal of Nutrition titled “Vitamin A Depletion Induced by Cigarette Smoke is Associated with Development of Emphysema in Rats.” It showed that smoking caused a vitamin A deficiency and that those who developed the deficiency developed emphysema. This was a study carried out on rats as well and when exposed to cigarette smoke they all ended up with this deficiency.

The best way to add vitamin A back into your body is through your diet. You have to be careful not to overdo it as vitamin A is stored in the liver and if you ingest too much too often it can cause damage. Using supplements is not something I suggest when you can just eat things like carrots or cantaloupe to get what you need. Thyme Tea Recipe

Ingredients:

  • Thyme (one handful of dried or fresh)
  • A mug
  • Covered container

Directions:

  • Put some herbs in your brewing container and pour water over it that is boiling hot.
  • Cover it and let it sit for five minutes before straining and serving.
